Brewhouse Yard is a multi-use residential and commercial premise located in Clerkenwell, East London, where established corporations and entrepreneurial startups live side-by-side, makes this one of the most vibrant and exciting places to live and work.
The restrictions within the contract were that all works had to be conducted within the normal working hours due to the local residents. Weekend works were also prohibited putting pressure on the already aggressive programme as there was no room for manoeuvre outside of normal working hours.
One of the architectural requirements of the design called for all mechanical and electrical services to be exposed and visible throughout the building forming part of the overall interior design .
haydengreen were instructed to install and commission the following specialised services:-
Gas Suppression System, Fire Alarms, CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Disabled Refuge, Video Entry, Access Control.
Due to the complexity of the project and the programme constraints, weekly project & technical service meetings were put in place to ensure a smooth transition from project start to project delivery. In order to achieve the architectural design of the exposed services haydengreen worked in close co-operation with all contractors to ensure the finish met the client’s design demands.
To achieve the delivery of this project our team included multi-disciplined engineers who remained on site throughout the whole six-month programme working alongside other contractors ensuring the continuity needed to complete what was a complex project needing specialised requirements and detailed services.
